FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates generally to portable cano~
pies, and more specifically, but not exclusively, to user-por-
table canopies having usee-controlled moveable elements
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The subject matter discussed in the background section
should not be assumed to be prior art merely asa result ofits
mention in the background section. Similarly, problem
mentioned in the background section or associated with the
subject matter of the background section should not be
assumed to have been previously ecognized inthe prior art
The subject matte in the background section merely repre=
sents different approaches, whieh in and of themselves may
also be inventions.
“There are many types of userportable canopies and por.
table coverings tat ate used to protect and shield a ser from
the environment (eg, an umbrella for rain and other precip
tation and a parasol for sin), Retailers continue to setrch for
‘changes in user portable canopies to increase customer inter-
‘What is needed is @ system and method for increasing
‘customer interes in canopies.
BRIEP SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
0
Disclosed isa system and method for inereasing customer
Jnerest in portable articles of manufacture, including user-
portable canopies. The following summary ofthe invention is
provided to facilitate an understanding of some of technical
‘eatures related to active user portable eanopies with one or
more maveable elements andthe like, and isnot intendodl 10
bea fill description ofall embodiments ofthe present inven-
tion.A full appreciation ofthe various aspeetsof the invention
‘canbe pained by taking the entire specification, claims, d=
Ings, and abstract asa whole. The present invention is appli
‘able 10 olher styles of user-portable canopies besides
‘umbrellas and parasols, non-portable user foldable eanopies,
‘and large semi-portabie foldable canopies such as beach
‘umbrellas or other outdoor folding canopies for eovering
Tange areas, and to other types and methodologies of actuating
mcchanisms, including machine-powered actuating mecha-
nisms for larger implementations.
