N1 20th March 2010

Notice for the 2010 Annual General Meeting for

GEESE
to be held on Sunday 11th April at 5pm in
St Andrew’s Church, 73 Glen Road, Glencairn
Please put this in your diary now so you can make sure you will be
at the meeting as we want as many people there as possible

AGENDA

1. Welcome & Apologies

2. Chairman’s Report & Accounts

3. Update on the Vlei – What has been achieved in the past year. It is hoped this will be
done in the form of a photographic presentation to make it more interesting – if members
have suitable photos they would like us to use, do please send them.

4. Review of future projects – do give this some thought, bring your ideas and then we can
all discuss them.

5. Election of the Executive Committee – we, Bromleys, badly need to share out the
responsibilities so the wetland can be managed more responsibly. Do you see
something that needs to be done and would you be willing to organise it? Sharing out
the jobs makes it so much easier! The current executive is:
John van Huyssteen, Margaret Cartwright, Wendy Sheen, Anne Fry,
Bob Hulsman, Rupert and Cilla Bromley

6. Vote of thanks for the support received from the City of Cape Town, Alderman Nicki
Holderness and Chris Bonthuys.

7. Any other business

Everyone is invited next door for refreshments after the meeting

Please note, there is no membership fee.

The qualification to be a member of GEESE is to have a passion for the
Glencairn Wetland. Do please tell your friends about us & bring them too!
Communication is done through emailing and the notice boards.
