Article 4: Slavery/ Servitude
-Baby becomes a sex slave as the story goes on. She is influenced by
many people and shes only 13. When Baby says, He turned off the
lights before making love to me. (Oneill 209) This is right before her
and Alphonse have sex.

is a charitable organization dedicated to the personal safety of all

children. Their goal is to reduce child victimization by providing
programs and services to the world.
This organization would of given Baby advice when it came to the point
where she started becoming a sex slave. They would of helped her
going through the times she was going through and she never would of
became a sex slave.

Article 5: Inhuman
-Baby
doesnt get treated well. Jules doesnt let her do the things she

wants to do. Jules has very strict rules for Baby and if she doesnt
complete them the way he wants her to he beats her. When Baby says,
My dad locked me out. (Oneill 280) This is when Baby came home
one night and Jules has locked her out of her house because she wasnt
home before her curfew. On nights like these Baby was in charge of
finding her own place to sleep at for the night. Often she would sleep at
Xaviers or Alphonses house.

Children's aid society


This organization empowered by the Ontario government to perform
child protection services.
This would help Baby out because when she gets locked out of her
house or Jules beats her she would have this organization to help her
when she is in need.

Article 17: Standard of


-Baby and Jules dont have much money and therefore their standard of
living
living is very low. When Baby says, The carpet had been worn down so
much that you couldnt see what pattern it used to have and the light
switch was practically black from so many hands turning it on and off.
(Oneill 2) This is the apartment that Jules and Baby had bought
because they didnt have much money for anything better.

poverty/ social justice


This organizations mission is to bring awareness to the homeless and
the poverty that surrounds the world everyday. They provide various
types of resources including essential life skills and support for
emotional and financial needs to minimize homeless and poverty in the
world.
This organization would make Babys life easier she wouldnt have to be
stuck living in a house that isnt good enough for her, all because Jules
doesnt have enough money to buy something better.
