Explain your artifact final product and ALL the steps you took to create it.
My aftifact is a symbolic painting used to represent the idea of maintainging
a balance between the spiritual, mental, and physcial aspects of life. To
create my painting I first started by emphasizing the three core points in
black as well as symbols that represented each. Then in opposite corners I
put a yin yang symbol and a scale, both representing balance. In the
remaining corners I put a sun and a moon and filled the rest of the space
with color. Darker colors started from the moon and lighter colors from the
sun. This served the purpose of presenting a balance of light and dark.
What is the most important thing you learned during this process?
I learned the importance and value of incorporating this idea more into my
life. I have always believed in it, but fail to constantly put it into action,
which is extremely important.
Explain the significance of your artifact and how it connects to the narrative.
This connects to my artifact as it was a foundation I grew up off of. Being
raised in a lifestyle where balance is emphasized had created a habit of
reminding myself to find balance in times of stress.
What do you wish you had spent more time on or done differently?
I think the painting of the actual process should have been done with more
patience. I was not overly happy woth how the balance of color turned put
as it could have been blended better.
What did you find most challenging during this task?
Finding a way to visually represent my belief was the most challenging.
Knowing I wanted to have an artisitic piece i find myself bouncing between
many idea before finally committing to this one.
