Report of Boer Goats Raising Project by

Zhoukou Christian Council


Boer Goats donation ceremony attended by Rev. Ma Xin, chairman
of Zhoukou Christian Council and Director Fang, head of Xihua County
Bureau of Religious Affairs was host at Yaozhuang Village Committee,
Piying Town, Xihua County, Zhoukou City on January 9, 2016. Boer
Goats Raising Project draws a conclusion by now. Hereby we make a
report about the detailed works of Boer Goats Raising Project in the past
period.
I. Background:
Boer Goats donation is a social care and aid project funded by
United Church of Christ and implemented by Zhoukou Christian Council.
UCC approved the application of Zhoukou Christian Council and planed
to donate 140 Boer goats to poor families living in Yaozhuang, Daonan,
Qingheyi, Xiaoyao these four AIDS villages of Xihua County to assist
them through production of self-help. Villagers can solve their basic
living problems such as difficulties of treatment and survival.
II. Specific implementation:
i. After the project was approved, Zhoukou Christian Council
contacted with goat raising base, investigate goats situation and negotiate
buying with seller.

ii. Contact with officers of funded villages and choose funded


villagers list;
iii. Transport goats to funded villages;

iv. Donation ceremony;

v. After the ceremony, we visited and interviewed funded poor


families.

The implementation was embraced and supported by villages. We


believe those villagers who are in suffering will achieve economic benefit
and spiritual comfort by raising goats. Zhoukou Christian Council will
continue doing all our job and make detailed followed report to UCC.
