Dear Dr. Bauer:
Thank you for allowing me to job shadow you. It was a great experience to see what a
veterinarian's day is really like. You seem very busy, so thank you once again for taking
time out of your day to show me what you do.
I learned a lot of things about being a veterinarian that I did not know before. You have
to have a lot of patience to be able to work with certain animals and owners all day.
Also, how many other things that are needed to be able to handle being a veterinarian
such as having to have thick skin and an open mind to treatment, medicine, and budget.
I definitely have some decisions to make regarding what career I want to pursue. I am
grateful to have had the experience to explore a veterinarian as an option.
