She began working for the American School of El Salvador in August 2012 During her tenure at the American School of El Salvador, Ms. Sloter has impressed me with her strong work ethics, intelligence, and genuinely friendly nature, Equally impressive is her knowledge of the English language. She is a natural teacher to whom students are attracted to like moths to a light, and she effectively uses a variety of methods to deliver her lessons and to inspire her students to read, write and learn, Her organizational skills are fantastic, and she has displayed a consistent commitment to excellence in the education of her students. When you walk into her room, you observe the kinds of things that you expect a top of the line teacher to deliver: opportunities for the development of critical thinking and analytical skills, exemplary classroom management, students on task, instruction delivered clearly, active supervision on behalf of the teacher, a genuine interest in the students, positive feedback, and opportunities to learn from mistakes. Ms. Sloter is an asset and model for her students, and she is liked by the students and faculty due to the fact that she is creative and culturally sensitive. I also found her to be an honorable woman truly concerned with the overall welfare of her students.
