Introduction
For my research project I am focusing on The Weather in Boston, USA, versus the
weather in Beijing, China. I chose this because I was very curious about what the
weather was in China and this was the perfect opportunity. I have learned almost
everything that I wanted to learn and i also got to see what my classmates thought
without having researched my topic and it was similar to what i thought before I started
this project which is pretty interesting.
2. Key Variables
My first topic is Air Quality i wanted to research this topic because in the past i heard
about beijing having terrible air quality and i wanted to see it this was true. Second is
Humidity, third is Average Wind Speed this interested me because i live in south boston
right on the water so it is usually windy here, # of sunny days per year is fourth because
i love the sun.

6. data analysis
When I got my feedback from my surveys I was not too surprised with my
feedback that I received from my surveys especially number Do you agree or disagree
that Boston needs better regulation for dealing with snow? more than 75% agrees with
this one because they were stressed out about all of the snow last year and the city
having nowhere to put it all. Number 8 (Do you agree or disagree that Beijing will get
more snow than Boston this year?) was a question the surprised me because beijing
barely gets any snow and boston gets a lot of snow.
7. In-depth interview questions
1. Has the air quality gotten better or worse since you were a child?
2. DOes the low wind speed affect the the amount of renewable energy from wind
turbines
3. Has the number of sunny days decreased since you were young because of global
weather change?
