Daniel 6:10. "Daniel - - - in his upper room, with his windows open to-
ward jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and
prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early
days."

Psalm 55:17. "Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry
aloud, and He shall hear my voice."

1 Peter 3:12. "For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His
ears are open to their prayers. - - - "

1Thessalonians 5:17. "Pray without ceasing." Always keeping your


heart uplifted to God.

Prayer is the breath of spiritual life to the soul. Are you alive?
The Word is the food for spiritual life of the soul. Are you alive?
We would perish physically without air, bread, and water. Are you
alive? We take our meals three times a day. Do you feed on God's
word three times a day? By doing this, we will "draw nigh to God, and
He will draw nigh to us. James 4:8.
"Both in public and private worship it is our duty to bow down upon
our knees before God when we offer our petitions to Him. This act shows
our dependence upon God." 2 SM. 312

"I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ." Eph.3:14.

"Communion with God through prayer develops the mental and moral
faculties, and the spiritual powers strengthen as we cultivate thoughts
upon spiritual things." Desire of Ages p.56

Prayer is a two-way communication. Just like when we are talking to a


friend on the telephone.
