any change that makes a new substances
atom in the substance are rearranged creating something new

this will most likely always produce an observable change

color
temperature
size
state of matter

Chemical Change vs. Physical Change

physical change does not affect atoms

The substance you have before the chemical change happens
for example: baking soda and vinegar both
are reactants

Product
the new substance that exists after the chemical change
this is what baking soda and vinegar looks
like after a chemical change has taken
place (product)
