Active Leaders Development Program Focusing on ASEAN-Japan Literacy
Aim of this project is to develop, in both Japan and ASEAN, the active leaders with empowerment in practice
and literacy of Japan/Southeast Asia who can become the bridges between the nations at fields such as
business, journalism, architecture, NGO, government, etc.
To develop such active leaders, Meiji University encourages Japanese and ASEAN students to understand the
language, culture and business customs of both Japan and Southeast Asia by implementing long-term and
short term student exchanges with prestigious universities of the ASEAN countries.
Numerical aim is to reach 1,000 intl exchanges in 5 years, 500 outbound and 500 inbound students.
This program has been recognized as a selected visionary project of the Re-Inventing Japan Project funded
by the Japanese government (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology).
