SALT
Salt is solid object that has white crystalline colour. Salt is a
compounds and the biggest contain on salt is natrium chloride (> 80
%) and another compound like magnesium chloride, magnesium
sulfate, etc.

RAW MATERIAL
1. Sea Water
contain of 3%
NaCl. Sea water is
obtained by
pumping. Sea
water produced
from mexico,
Brazilia, RRC,
Australia dan
Indonesia.

2. Natural Saline Solution

Natural Saline Solution contain of 20% - 25% NaCl.
Natural Saline Solution usually obtained from the well
salted and salt lakes. In Indonesia, there is salt water
source in the area Purwodadi. Central Java.

3. ROCK SALT
Formed from the
evaporation of sea
water
only in dry areas
rock salt contain of 20%
- 25% NaCl. Rock salt
produce from USA,
Kanada, Jerman, west
Eropa , and Cina.

1. Water is forced into a underground salt bed or dome through

bore-hole
2. The salt dissolves, turning the water into brine
3. The brine is then pumped back to the surface

1. Brine is circulated through tubes with steam on the outer surface

2. As the brine boils in the first effect, water evaporates producing steam
3. As the brine boils and the water starts to evaporate, a thick salt slurry of
brine is formed. This
is fed to the second effect

4. The pressure at next effect is always lower than before. So, the salt slurry
able to boil at lower
temperature
5. The thick salt slurry of brine circulated through a second heat exchange.
unit that the exhaust steam from the first effect to evaporate further
moisture from
the brine to produce further crystals.

6. That process is repeated until last effect that produced salt slurry that
contain a lot of crystal salt. Then that salt slurry crystal is centrifuge to
separate wet salt crystal from water
7. The wet crystal salt is dried by using dryer
