This week in Circle time, we will
review the opposite words we
learned last week. We will play
matching game, fishing and Acting
Opposites.

Phonics

Date: Jan. 25-29, 2016

Activity Time
Vocabulary: insects, butterfly, bee, dragonfly, ladybug, fly, centipede, caterpillar,
grasshopper, ant, spider, snail, worm
Songs: Incy Wincy spider, Fly Fly the Butterfly, Ladybird Ladybird, Fuzzy Wuzzy
Caterpillar
Sentence Structure: What is this? It is a ______.
Activities:
Feel and Tell Toys will be put in individual boxes. Each student will feel what is
inside the box, without seeing it, and guess what it is.
Fishing Students will get the picture of the little creature that the teacher say.
Shows the picture to their classmates and say, This is a ____.
Games
Fly swat A pair of students will play the game with a fly swatter. They will swat
the picture of the little creature that the teacher will say. The first student to swat
the correct picture will get a star.
Matching Game- Using toys and pictures of the vocabularies, students will try to
match them. The student who can match it correctly will get a star.
New (letters/sounds/vocabulary)

Review
This week we will review all the
vocabularies they had learned
from all the letters. We will play
active games like Move and
Match, Alphabet Walk and Picture
Hunting. We will also have
identification and speaking games
like Get Me, What am I? and Jump
to Win.

We are now going to learn new words that starts with letters Mn and Nn. Mmmonkey, money, milk and mouse. Nn- nest, nose, net and nut.

Craft Work- Students will make a


butterfly using tissue paper rolls.
