PARAGRAPH FROM THE REPRESENTING MP
I feel that this act is necessary because this will allow everyday citizens of the United
Kingdom to create petitions. This is a way that British citizens can tell the government on
what they want to happen in the United Kingdom. Of course, all petitions will only be
debated- there will be no voting on it. After all, only Members of Parliament can propose
legislation. However, this will tell us MPs what the British people want. This is also a real
system in real life, and so this will make this group more accurate and realistic. This is a
win-win for everyone: The United Kingdom gets more accurate and realistic, citizens of the
United Kingdom can affect the government more and tell the government on what they
want to see happen in the government, and it makes this group more active.
