PREMISE

A battle between the museums pest and its Archivist

LOGLINE

A House Mouse finds itself causing problems for the museums Archivist. Can the
Archivist outsmart the Mouse or will the mouse outsmart the Archivist.

OUTLINE
- The museum Archivist wanders around the museum storage/restoration room with list in hand searching
for the next item that needs to be checked/restored. As he wonders around and glances at the various
items awaiting restoration or sitting in storage, he does a double take on a cabinet holding various books
and notices chew marks and pieces of the pages missing.
- He inspects the cabinet frantically and notices the small hole and the trail of the torn book pages, with a
stern look on his face he searches around the cabinet in search of the trail and follows it along the wall
until he reaches the small mouse hole.
- With a determined look the archivist storms off towards his office and rummages through his supplies and
belongings and returns to the mouse hole and cabinet with a piece of wood large enough to just cover the
mouse hole and blue-tac and props it up against the wall with the blue-tac to keep it in place
- With a feeling of success the Archivist leaves for the day and double checks the mouse hole and awaits for
the next day hoping he has solved his pest problems.
- Within the dark room small squeaks and scratches can be heard from the mouse hole, from the hole
emerges a small mouse as it knocks down the piece of wood blocking its way with all its might, a look of
happiness on its face as it beats the Archivists weak attempt to trap him and as it potters along to enjoy
chewing through more books.

OUTLINE
- Shortly after dawn the door can be heard to open and close followed by footsteps, The Archivist goes about
his daily routine with his list walking through the high shelves and cabinets. As he approaches the cabinet
which had fallen to the mercy of the museums pest he glances towards it with a grin but soon discovers
that more had been chewed.
- He begins to become frantic and his eyes dart towards the now uncovered mouse house and with a
frustrated shout he storms off towards a dark room and soon emerges with a larger piece of wood and
with a grin he wedges up against the mouse hole.
- With a thought the Archivist has another idea and returns back into the dark room and again emerges with
an even larger tube of super super glue and with a grin he begins to glue the wood up against the hole and
with a satisfied sigh he carelessly discard the super glue whilst admiring his work.
- Whilst the Archivist admires his work he fails to realise the tube of superglue hurdling towards the
shelves. The super glue hit the shelf and knocks it only slightly but makes a noise loud enough to hear and
then falls to the floor with the lid being discarded and super glue flowing promptly out of it onto the floor
- The Archivist upon hearing the noise turns around and looks up towards the source of the sound and with
a look of horror he sees the hoards of paintings all begin to fall. He braces and waits to be hit by the
paintings but he continues to wait after he has heard the last fall

- As he unbraces himself he looks around and notices the paintings with mouse holes and then he looks up
to see one final painting just tip of the edge and with a defeated look the Archivist waits for impact.
- As the painting lands a great tear and a thud can be heard as the painting lands on his head and the
archivist falls to the floor. With a defeated sigh the Archivist decides to give up but he soon feels a
coldness through his trousers and as he goes to stand he puts his hand into a sticky solution and with a
look of realisation he frantically tries to get up but continuously fails.
- Further down the wall, a small mouse can be seen watching and giggling at the scene before it from its
second mouse hole. The mouse then happily goes about its business chewing through things
