Mission statement: T3-Teaching Together with Technology
Philosophy: Every day we depend on technology for any number of purposes:
communication, social media, news, gaming, and streaming. Moreover, learning
should include access to technology. Incorporating technology in education will
increase students understanding of expectations from the real world. Our mission
as educators at Paulding County High School is: Together Helping Educate Every
Student Every Day in Every Way to Ensure College and Career Readiness. One way
to ensure college and career readiness is the exposure of technology. The School
District has adopted a BYOT (Bring Your Own Technology) policy. The District has
put substantial funding into improving the technology infrastructure at every school
so that the capability exists for teachers and students to connect into the wifi
system without concern. Only by using the technology on a regular basis will
students be prepared not only for success within the classroom, but also for when
they graduate and move on to the next step in their life.
Selection Process:
Allow students the ability to be creative in their learnings
Provide students the knowledge to be digital citizens with proper
netiqutte for the digital world
Align technology apps available with usability of standards within each
content
Equip students the ability to choose based on their interest different
apps to complete the same content, however, differentiation by process
Broaden teachers horizon in incorporating technology in the classroom
Responsibility: The instructional technologist with gather apps to be presented to
the Media/Technology Committee. Once approved, the instructional technologist
with share the chosen apps with teachers specific to their content. In additional, all
decisions made by the instructional technologist and Media/Technology Committee
will be aligned with Paulding County High Schools desire to create college and
career readiness students.
