INTERNET BANKING
4 -Alack of skills and training combined with Web site lack of usability are the
key barriers for older people to use e-banking. 2- Other studies confirm that
‘mature customers are late adopters of Internet banking, because of four main
reasons: 3-practical problems in using e-banking, concerns about the expensive
start-up, security, and ack of personal service. 4-On the other hand, recent
studies show that current banks’ sites stil donot ffl basic accessibility and
usability requirements. 5- There are many sources explaining the main rules for
an accessible and usable web site and several studies about the accessibility
and usability of banks’ 6 web sites. Most of them give atthe end some
recommendations to improve ther, However, esearch shows that 50% of
prospective customers registering fr online banking bail out before signing UP,
mostly due to problems navigating the site,7- completing online forms, security
fears, and understanding content and feedback. In another study,8- Forrester
graded the sites ofthe 20 largest European retail banks according tots user
experience review methodology, which evaluates how well sites help users
achieve their goals. Significantly, even the best sites do not pass overall
usability.
