In 2015, 81% of the installed base of TV screens worldwide are regular TVs,
while the base of connected and smart TVs, at a combined 612 million, only
accounts for 19%. By 2019, connected and smart TVs will account for 35%, at
total of 1.5 billion sets.
In 2015, the global installed base of media streamers will reach 95 million, 2.9%
of the worlds TV households. This is projected to grow to 249.6 million by 2019,
8.1% of the total TV households at that time.
