    ThisCDcontainsreliabilityandmaintainabilitysoftwareforuseonaPersonalComputer(PC).The
    softwarewaswrittenandcompiledinVisualBasic(VB)6.0withservicepack3.VisualBasicisdesigned
    torunonMSWindowsbasedoperatingsystems.SinceMicrosoftnolongersupportsVB,thereisno
    guaranteethatthesoftwarewillinstallsuccessfullyonnewerversionsofWindowsPC.

    Toinstallthesoftware,runsetup.exefollowingthedirectionsprovided.Youwillneedadministrative
    privilegestoinstallthesoftware.Unlessdirectedelsewhere,thesoftwarewillbeinstalledbydefaultin
    C:\ProgramFiles\RelAnalysis.Iftheinstallationprocedureattemptstoreplaceanewerfilewithan
    olderone,respondwithano.
    Onceinstalled,datamaybeenteredfromthekeyboard,fromtheclipboardsuchascopyingdatafrom
    anExcelspreadsheet,orfromacompatible(.dat)filecreatedbytheapplication.Onceyouhaveentered
    data,itmaybesavedinafileforsubsequentuse.Censoredtimesareenteredasnegativevalues.Once
    thedatahasbeenentered,thedataanalysisoptionsdescribedbelowareavailable.Groupdatausing
    lifetablesandtheDuanegrowthcurverequireenteringdataseparately.Inputdatafilescarrythefile
    extension.datwhichissuppliedbytheprogram.Exampledatasetsareprovidedaspartofthenormal
    installationprocess.
