Do you like when your parents read out loud to you?
Do you like reading independently?
Work Habits
Do you like reading on your free time?

Attitude:
Almost all of the students loved to read.

Only one student was indifferent about

reading.

Interests:
Between the three categories, the students

enjoy reading nonfiction the best. There

were no students that marked only one
category.

Learning Styles:
A majority of the students enjoy when the

teacher or parent reads to them. There

were four students that did not enjoy
reading independently.

Work Habits:
For the most part, almost all the students

like reading at home and enjoyed reading

to learn about new things.

Analysis:
After looking at the data, it seems a

majority of A5 like to read. They like being

read to, whether it be a parent or teacher.
The students read to learn new things, as
the highest genre of interest was
nonfiction. The biggest negative turnout
was from whether or not they like reading
independently, as four students said no.
This can be correlated to the wide
spectrum of reading level, since those
students are unable to read in general.

I will integrate more read alouds in

subjects like science and social studies.
I will conference with struggling
students one-on-one and assist them
with their reading.
I will mix the genres of books that I
read aloud to the students.
I will assign reading tasks that require
the students to work with each other in
groups.
