Project Proposal
Basis and Audience:
For my project this year, I would like to make a picture information sheet and a PowerPoint with
mini video clips inserted within it. The audience will be pediatric patients on the pediatric floor
and their parents. I will be focusing on the age group 7-11 years. I believe that having both
mediums will be useful because some parents become offended when my mentor offers to teach
them and reject any instruction, so a simple picture sheet with directions will be a simple
solution. The PowerPoint is for more thorough explanations where my mentor and I may sit
down with a child and his/her caregivers. The video clips will also make it convenient if we need
to pinpoint a certain action or topic. We will be recording the video clips ourselves.

Timeline:
January- have information sheet mostly done and be in the middle towards end of my
researching with teaching techniques that appeal to the 7-11 age group
February- speak to Omayma's colleagues and connections at the pharmacy school about my
project (show them information sheet and get feedback) and finish filming the video clips that
will be inserted into the PowerPoint. Begin PowerPoint and hopefully finish
March- present to pediatric patients and their parents as well as other pharmacy students for
critique
April- make presentation board
