My MLA Formatting Guide
This is how your first page should be structured. Notice a few things about
the first page: I used the Header function (click on Insert) to make my header. I
put the authors last name and inserted the page numberright justified. Then, I
placed my heading (left justified) in the following order: First Last Name, Teachers
name, Course Name, and Date (notice that the date is in the Day Month Year
format). I hit enter ONCE, centered and bolded my title. Notice that it is not any
larger than any of the other text in the paper. Then, I hit enter again, ONCE, left
justified my text, hit tab, and started my essay. Below is another visual of how your
paper should be formatted.
