ABSTRACT.

As CYATAM has an area of new projects, it needs to purchase a new PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) to meet customer needs.
That is why the collection of information is vital for handling this controller easily, and I this way, it is possible to achieve the
implementation of future projects in which this PLC is required.
The design of a user guide for controller brand Phoenix Contact is essential for its easy understanding at the moment of using the PLC;
it began with the description of its programming software which is based on the IEC 61131 standard for programming languages, which
include programming in ladder, and structured text programming with function blocks.
It is described how the controller is connected to the PC via Ethernet cable through an IP address which must be assigned to the PLC
for its communication with the PCWORX software. Furthermore, there is an explanation about OPC communication protocol which
nowadays most drivers used for communication in order to comply as a standard and eliminate software property for communication
between different devices. Moreover, the use of simulation software is described for test generation and detection of error codes in the
programming in case there is no a controller to generate the communication mode.
The information manual is described briefly within a theoretical framework in order to provide a better ease for understanding the driver
installation.
The use PCWorx software is taught with generated examples for programming the control logic considering the language to block for
the development of each of the developed examples.
