The skin is the biggest organ of the human body and form almost an 8% of the

total mass. It covers the whole organism and protects every organ in it. It
doesnt only protect the body from the continuous exposition of the
environment but it also provides mechanical, chemical, or thermical protection.
The thickness varies from 1, 5 mm to 4 mm, it relays mostly on the age or the
zone of the body where it is. The skin is divided in three layers, which are:
epidermis, which is the most external layer that brings flexibility to the skin,
next one is the dermis formed by fibers of elastic collagen, that gives the skin
the consistency and elasticity that characterizes it, and last we found the
hypodermis that is made mainly of lax connective tissue and fat, which gives it
functions of thermic regulation and movement.
