gave a look of what someone from Blackbeard's time saw and how he felt about the Golden Age
of piracy.
Pardons:
George R. "A Proclamation for Suppressing of Pyrates." Letter. 5 Sept. 1717. MS. N.p.
This is a pardon sent out by King George himself, offering pirates freedom from their
crimes. They would accept the pardon and give up their life as a pirate, but the
government would not be allowed to put them in jail or hang them. It helped me
understand how the government felt about pirates

always went into battle with many pistols strapped to his chest and side and with a cutlass

Production, 2008. Print. This described the last days of Blackbeard and what he did and
why he did it.

gave me the life and adventures of Blackbeard and his old self, Edward Teach.

16 Nov. 2015. This told me that while fighting Lieutenant Maynard Blackbeard was
stabbed in the back by a sailor that would lead to his death.

n.d. Web. 16 Nov. 2015. Blackbeard's flag gave everyone a scare when they saw it, from
this I learned the meaning behind his jolly roger.

went in detail about his appearance and his choice of weapons.

Blackbeard would tie red ribbons to his his beard and light the ribbons and they would be
smoking to give him the look of the Devil.
