    attendedPineLakesince2009asa5thgraderwhichiswhentheschoolfirstopened.Ihavebeen
    workingonmyprivatepilot'slicensefortwoyearsnow.Flyinghaschangedmeinmanyways
    throughresponsibilitiesandmotivation.IhavewantedtobecomeanairlinepilotsinceIwas
    bornduetomyloveofflightandfamilybackground.MyDadhasbeenanAmericanAirline
    pilotfor30years,mymomisaflightattendantforAmerican,mydad'sdadwasthemostsenior
    pilotforUnitedAirlines,mymom'sdadflewover100missionsinVietnam,andbothofmy
    grandmotherswereflightattendants.Ihavealsobeenplayingfootballfortenyearsnow.Ihave
    playedonPineLakesfootballteamforsixyearsnow.Iamnowoneofthecaptainsforthe
    Varsityteam.

    MyPrideProjectisaboutAirlinePilots,whichispartofthetransportationfield.Ichosethis
    topicduetomyinterestinthepaththatallpilotstaketobecomeacommercialpilot.Myproduct
    willbetocreateamodelairplanewithactualflightinstrumentstodemonstrateeachaspectflight
    tochildreninthePineLakeLowerSchool.Theproductwilltakemearoundtwomonthsto
    complete.

    FormyprideproductIwouldliketoteachLowerSchoolstudentsthebasicsofflightwitha
    modelairplane.Themodelwillincludeactualinstrumentswhichwillgivethestudentsanideaof
    whatacockpitlookslike.Thisproductwillrequirematerialssuchaswood,aluminum,paper,
    andstring.TheactuallessononflyingwillbedoneinaLowerSchoolclassroom.Thisproduct
    willhelpmewithmycareerbygivingmeanunderstandingofhowtoteachchildrenflight
    lessons.Iwillneedtoteachflightlessonsinthefuturetogainflighthoursforanairline.Iwill
    presentthemodelinpersonwithavideoshowingmyselfteachingthebasicsofflighttoPine
    Lakestudents.
