A Stroll Through a Creek
I crawl and climb down to the creek long shallow and vast
the noise of water a quiet roar and sharp splash
the herby and earthy nature winds tingle my nose
I taste adventure and thirst to explore
each step adds grime and water to my clothes
the great green trees makes window for sunlight
the place alive with the chirping of birds and ribbiting of frogs
the smell of rot and decay of waterlogged wood and soaked leaves
the rough jagged rocks untouched by water and the moss covered smooth stone
water clear like crystal only muddied by my steps
the summer sun high in the humid air
the water splashes under my feet as a stroll through my creek
