Question: I want to adjust the dates when a course will run.

Answer.
There a number of choices in the ways to make these changes.
This note will point you at the place you need to be without giving explicit details
on every way you may want to make the change. If the site confuses you then
back out and seek expert help as your understanding and training is
underdone.

STRONG RECOMMENDATION Research and Practice these

functions in the TEST course 166SAT01 which has ZERO enrolments allowed.

1.View or SELECT COURSES

2. OPEN the desired course record
3. <Click>

4 Choose the appropriate activity

5 make the appropriate changes
6. SAVE if the opportunity is offered most of the changes you make here are
instantaneous but there are SAVE functions in the Holiday Dates areas.
7. Check the Course Start and Finish dates and the calcukated DAY as these
fields are NOT UPDATED be the Change Dates function. They may need to be
adjusted manually.

HOLIDAY DATES
is a sub-function of the Edit Dates for
Course screen discussed above and also the Select Course screen also
discussed above.
The management of Holiday Dates is a sub-function within the Dates List screen.
You have quite a range of activities here for which you should develop a
familiarity.
I have added Christmas Day as an example of a Holiday. Note that if I had
extended the range I could ha encompassed Boxing day or even everything up to
New Years Day.
Rather than enter every Tom, Dick and Harry holiday here, I suggest we block
out the entire periods that IU3A is not operational each year and only enter

holidays not encompassed by those blocks. e.g. block out 1-Jan-2016 to 31-Jan2016 and 25-Mar-2016 to 1-APR-2016 then insert 25-Apr-2016 to catch Anzac
Day. Easter is caught by the second block. Labour Day 14-Mar-2016 has not
been addressed. Care with this one however only C&E Visiting Expert runs on
this day.
