YOUR KEYBOARD:
Place your keyboard so that your upper arms hang vertically and comfortably from your
shoulder.
Avoid postures that raise your shoulders or bend your neck either forward or backward.
All laptop users are required to use an alternative keyboard.
Place the ErgoFriend keyboard rest directly in front of your keyboard.
While typing, place your hands and wrists on top of the rest.
During typing breaks, rest the heels or palms of your hands (not your wrists) on the rest.
YOUR MOUSE:
Thighs parallel
to the ground
Knees bent at a
90- 110 angle
Place your ErgoFriend mousepad beside your keyboard so you do not have to reach
forward or out to the side to use it.
Make sure that the heel of your palm is placed gently on the gel support of the mouse pad.
Clip documents in the document holder that comes with the mouse stand for extensive
typing to avoid awkward neck movements.
YOUR FOOT-REST:
Feet flat or resting
on a foot rest
Use the ErgoFriend foot-rest and keep your feet at a comfortable angle.
Adjust the height and angle of your foot rest till you feel the most comfortable.
Never let your legs dangle.
YOUR CHAIR:
Adjust the height of your chair so that your feet rest comfortably on the floor or on the
foot rest and your knees are about level with your hips.
Adjust your back rest till your lower back is well supported and straight.
Your knees should be bent at a comfortable 90- 110 angle.
Adjust the arm rest till your arms and hands are in a straight line and your shoulders
are relaxed.
