The number one team in Ligue 1, Paris Saint German (PSG)
welcomes the number 16, Bastia on January 8th. PSG is currently
blowing out the other competition with 51 points. Thats a difference of
19 points from Monaco, in the number two position, with only 32
points. This month on the 8th, the top scorer in the Ligue 1, Zlatan
Ibrahimovic, hopes to increase their standing even more in first place
and increase his scoring record with currently 15 goals. PSG has been a
dominant force in the French Ligue 1 for the past two years and has
clearly shown that they are continuing to do so this season. PSG has
played nineteen games and won 16 of them and has had three draws.
Bastia has played nineteen games also but has only had six wins with
four draws and nine loses. In their last 57 match ups against each
other, PSG has won 34 of them, while Bastia has only won 11. They
have drawn 12 times. The odds are leaning towards a PSG win on the
8th.
During the match, youll want to keep your eyes on the top
scorers from each team. For PSG, Zlatan Ibrahimovic with 15 goals,
Edinson Cavani with 10 goals, and Angel Di Maria, with 6 goals. For
Bastia, Gael Danic, with 3 goals, Floyd Ayite with 3 goals, and
Sebastien Squillaci with 2 goals. Ibrahimovics tall frame is key to have
in the box to score goals. PSGs Di Maria has great play making skills
and will most likely have an assist in this game versus Bastia. Di Maria
will also take PSGs free kicks.
In PSGs first game of 2016, on January 3rd, they beat Wasquehal
1-0 by Ibrahimovics goal, which qualified them for the round of 32 of
the Coupe de France. They played 4-1-3-2 formation. In Bastias last
game, winning over Sedan, 2-0, Bastia played a 4-2-3-1.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic, a key player for PSG, contract with PSG will
expire at the end of this season but has said to be staying with PSG the
entire season because He wants to be with them, they want to be with
him. We have a very strong relationship with the club. He will not leave
in January, says his agent, Mino Raiola.

number one scorer in Ligue 1, show why they are rightful owners of
that spot this season.
