Dante has gone of the path of the right
way and is now in The Dark Woods. ( lines 13)

Why/how did he arrive

there?
Dante arrived to the dark forest because
he went astray midway in his life. He
cannot justly say how he came about this
place; almost like he sleep walked there.

How did he feel?

Dante felt afraid. (lines 14)

Why is he writing this

book?
Dante wrote this book to tell us what Gods
grace taught him and about his journey in
all. (lines 8-9)

Dante encounter?

Dante knew already knew Virgil because
Virgil was Dantes hero, the person that
inspired him to be what he is today. (lines
