‘and months of dedication from
‘a growing group of under-
‘graduates, the Oregon Alpha
chapter at the University of
Oregon is finally back! Fifly one
men were initiated into the
Fraternity during 2 morning
ceremony. Those proud new
brothers, alumni and guests
gathered afterwards for a
cookout at the newly refurbished
chapter house. Capping aff an
exciting weekend, the Ducks
flew past Pac-10 foe Stanford
that evening, 52-31, in a battle of
op-10 football teams.
Tris wasn't the first attempt
‘at anew chapter at Oregon, In
fact, previous colony allempts
produced some fine prospective
members, Dut lacked enough
interest to bring Oregon Alpha
back for good. Thankfully, some
cof those original colony members
sill held a place in theirhearts for
Phi Kappa Psi. Seven of the 51 Alurini worked hard to renovate the
‘men initiated were alumni of chapter house, which is famous for

The return of Oragon Alpha now brings Phi Kappa Psi to a total of 102
‘active chapters, an alltime record, Withoul the support and decicalion of the
Oregon alumni, it may not have been possible.
“They were great,” said Rob Wilson Oregon 0, President. "We wouldn't
be here without them; there is no doubt about that. They donated more time:
and effort than | ever could have imagined.”
