I often ask myself a question

Is Pakistan the most exciting place to live in the 21 st century? Its almost as if someone has
unleashed good news for the country on all fronts; economic, political and security. Over $40
billion in Chinese investment is on its way but more importantly a bet by the worlds next
superpower to tie its regional ambitions to Pakistans prosperity. This is a game-changing
Marshall plan of sorts that appears too good to be true. On security, the army, civilian leadership
and civil society are steadily taking the battle to religious extremists instead of indulging in infighting and appearing like sitting ducks.
Dear listeners, only change is permanent in the universe. Pakistan has to Change ! We
have seen enough problems. As a wise man once said, abhi tau party shuru hui hai.
Things are getting better and better. The welfare of people depends on a countrys economic
progress and I think Pakistan is on its way to progress. We must talk about a confluence of
positive economic, geo-political, security and political factors that are setting up Pakistan for
success by firmly nudging us in the right direction. The lives of people are nicer and more
satisfied than that in the past. I can see the light of dawn of a developed and happy Pakistan.
Before you dismiss me as someone in denial about the gravity of Pakistans real problems, let me
The Pakistani people have fought for a free press, establishing an independent judiciary and
securing democratic elections. We have made our borders more secure with the help of nuclear
technology. Our kids are getting education. The literacy rate is increasing. An educated Pakistan
means a happier and a better place for our next generations.
I am positive about future of Pakistan because I can see light at the end of this dark tunnel. If we
cannot imagine a better future for Pakistan, we cannot create it. So, let us dream of making
Pakistan a Bright, Happy, Educated, Determined, United, Faithful and Disciplined Nation!
Amen.
