People need not worry about the future, since the present generation is better-off and

healthier than the former one; furthermore, there is some evidence that this trend will continue.
In contrast with the Britain of three decades ago, nowadays nearly all its citizens can buy not
only good home appliances, but also high-technology products. Life expectancy has increased as
well. Technological progress also has led to a flourishing society by both the creation of new jobs
and offering comfort and convenience to people.
The growth in average earnings can be generated by decreasing both taxes on productive
investments and excessive government spending. In Britain, this should be considered to deal with
health service expenditure as soon as possible. Despite the NHS financial difficulties, pregress in
people health will endure, also due to the pharmaceutical industry development, mainly if modern
reegulamention is applied in individual treatments.
British public policy should direct its focus towards investments in order to guarantee a
more prosperous future for the next Briton generation.
