The First Annual Scarlet Chess Club Open

Hosted by the Scarlet Chess Club USCF affiliate

Format: 4 round Swiss, Game in 60 with 5 second delay (G/60, d/5), USCF rated
Two sections; Open and Under 1600, sections may be combined for pairing purposes
One 1/2 point bye available if requested before the beginning of round 2
Round Times: 9:00, 11:15, 2:15, 4:30 (or ASAP after round 3 completes). Lunch break between
rounds 2 and 3
Entry fee: $40 if registered by 4/16, $50 at site.
Prizes: $1000 prize fund based on 30 full-paid entries.
Open: $300, $180, $ 120
U1600: $200, $120, $80
Registration:
Advance Registration requested. Entry fees may be paid in cash in person on 4/23/2016, or
checks (payable to Famous C. Taylor) can be mailed, to be received by 4/19/2016. Preference
that all players must be current USCF members by 4//19/2016 and current through 4/30/2016.
USCF membership can be processed online at uschess.org. Please check the USCF site for rates
or contact TD for details for membership renewal or purchase on site.
