Plans for differentiation:


Students who are higher leveled will be given the chance for differentiation
with the second life cycles worksheet. Higher leveled students will
write/copy the words provided into the correct section while lower level
students can cut and paste the words. Also, those students who finish
work early have access to Ipads in order to do extra work through the
online game.
Assessment: The second worksheet finished in class is to be handed in to
the teacher to check understanding. Also, the pasta project will be
checked as well for understanding.
Plans for accommodation/modification:
The teacher will be available throughout entire lesson for questions and
concerns. Also, during the time of the group project, students can work
together. Students will be placed in work stations with both high and low
level individuals.
Whats next?
The next step to this lesson could lead to more in depth explanation of the
four cycles. It could also lead to observing live caterpillars move through
the cycles of their life.
