To Whom It May Concern,

!
I am privileged to write in support of Jessica Riesel whom I have been
supervising and observing as part of the Hartwick College faculty. Jessica has
the intrinsic capacity to belong to, while forming a community whether it be
students who uniquely do not fit the status quo or the mainstream population of
an AP Calculus class. Jessica works as a team member by listening to and
respecting values within the educational diversity of pedagogy and systems of
learning. In this way she invites the dynamics between the personal, public and
global exchange of people. During my time observing her as a student teacher, I
witnessed her tremendous ability to support and facilitate in the development of
both the intellectual and personal growth of students. This was expressed not
only in her expertise in the area of Mathematics and Special Education but in her
maturity and character as well.Jessica applied her keen gift of listening with
patience, intelligence, kindness and humor. This quality allows her to
communicate and connect withchildren in general and with those who have
learning diversities in accessing and processing information while balancing the
needs an entire class and oering individual attention as well. Jessicas day-today work with students has been inspiring to everyone who has worked with her.
I recommend her for any position of which she chooses to pursue in what I
believe to be a fruitful career.

Sincerely,

Lisa Jacobson
