ancientbedtimestory.Butwhatififthereweretruth,whatifKingArthurreallyexisted?
WellmodernevidencesuggeststhatheverywellcouldhaveruledOverEngland.

Firstoff,wehavetodismissthemyth.AlthoughhewassaidtobeaKingofthe
englishempire,withgloriousknightsathisside.Itneedstobestatedthathewaslikely
adarkageking,andhisKnightsoftheroundtable,werelikelyloyalwarlordsofthe
land.ButwhatabouthisMagicalSwords?AsfortheSwordinTheStone,swords
weretypicallycastinstonemolds,anditwasnotuncommontobecomestuckinthe
cast.Thus,hecouldhavetakenit.AndforExcalibur,whowastakenfromTheLadyof
TheLake,hecouldhavesimplytakenafabledswordfromthebottomofalake.Forin
thattime,manyweaponswerethrownintolakes,perhapstohonorthefallen
swordsmen,ortodisposeofenemyweapons.Andthus,themythlikelyhadsometruth
toit,simplydeformedovertimebyappraisinghistorians.

Nowtothefacts.KingArthurisknownforhisCastleofCamelot,andhistrusty
knightsoftheroundtable.Thisisactuallynotfarfetched.ThemoderntownofCamelot
doesn'tseemtobeunordinaryatfirstglance.Butoncloseinspection,Archeologists
discoveredwhatwaslikelythefoundationsofaKingWorthyfortressonahillinthe
town.ThiscouldhaveverywellbeenthehomeofKingArthur.AndasfortheKnights
oftheroundtable,thereareremnantsofluxuriouswinebottles,thatArthurandhis
friendswouldhavelikelydrankfromincongregation.Andasforhisburial,itissaidhe
wasburiedontheisleofAvalon,andthoughitisnotanislandtoday,wefoundabody
alongwitharowboatinthelocationAvaloncouldhaveverywellbeen.Itisnotcrazyto
assumetheislandunsubmergedoverhundredsofyears.

Intheend,however,itcouldjustbeanancienttale.ButfromtheArcheological
digs,andlogicofthefinds,thereisarealchancethatKingArthurcouldhavelived.Far
morelikelythanwhatanyonewouldexpect.
