Structure, Rhyme, and Rhythm

RHYTHM
derived from the Greek word
"rhythmos," which means
"measured motion -acts in poetry like a beat does

Narrative poetry tells a story. Forms
include the ballad and the epic

LYRIC POEM
Lyric poetry expresses feelings
and emotions. Forms include the
sonnet and the ode.

STANZA
