Dear Mr. Abbe:

I have seriously enjoyed the time I have spent with you, even though most of it was during class
time. I know I met with you very few times and all of them were brief, but I want to say that in
our few meetings you inspired me immensely. Your mass amounts of patience and imagination
never failed to surprise me and make me look at things from a new angle.
I must thank you for not giving up on me and suggesting new ways for me to finish my senior
project; but I also must apologize for even with your guidance things did not go as planned and I
did not achieve my goal. I see this not as a failure but as a learning experience, and, with the
knowledge I have gained from you, I feel as though I will be more prepared for future
experiences with challenging circumstances.
Im not quite sure when I will present my senior project experience to the panel of judges, but I
hope you are there to see me properly stumble over my words and talk about my notfailure/learning experience.
Once again thank you for making my senior year extremely memorable and enjoyable.
