Where Im From Poem

The bustling Vietnamese cities

Is where youll find my home
Near the slums and cigar smoke,
Far from schools and clean streets
The place where cycles roam
Back when I was young
Everything was so much fun
Even though I was the kid who stood in the corner
And very much bullied and teased.
I stayed with my loving grandparents
Their house was as giant could be
I spent those days in the pool,
gardening with Gran, and
Playing Pokemon (which I still do today)
This was where I lived and made friendships
During my young childhood years
Until Mom took me away to a place
To a brand new place called
Youngstown. Ohio
I did so many things
Some were tennis, piano, and school
Though a little cramped in our apartment,
We were still very content
And then a few years after
Dad got a new job.
He proclaimed, Were moving to Iowa
Didnt know what awaited but when I found out
I said, Hey, itll do for now.

The End
