Term 2 Review

This week we are learning:

Circle Time Review
Circle time this week will focus
on speaking practice and review
from the term. Students will
practice the following questions:
How are you feeling?
What can you do?
What cant you do?
What day is today?
Hows the weather?
What is this?
Where does ___ live?
We will also use some circle time
to practice for graduation.

Activity Time
Tuesday: Sea Animals and Land Animals
(Fish, seahorse, shark, starfish, whale, jelly fish, turtle, dolphin, octopus, crab,
lobster, bear, camel, cow, turtle, elephant, gorilla, hippo, horse, lion, panda, rabbit,
penguin, seal, fox, koala, giraffe, monkey, pig, mouse, zebra, snake, donkey,
sheep, kangaroo)
We will play games with the animal flash cards and practice sorting animals by
where they live.

Wednesday: Opposites
(Fast/slow, big/small, heavy/light, beautiful/ugly, strong/weak, long/short, tall/short,
full/empty, high/low, wet/dry, near/far, new/old, easy/hard, dark/light, clean/dirty)
We will review vocabulary and practice matching opposite pairs.

Thursday: Can/Cant Verbs

(jump, run, hide, cook, stretch, climb, climb, swim, fly, walk, ski, stop)
We will practice speaking and demonstrating the verbs to convey meaning

Friday: Clothing

Phonics

(t-shirt, hat, shorts, skirt, socks, shoes, shirt, dress, pants, pyjamas, swimsuit,
gloves, underwear, uniform, raincoat, shoes, umbrella)
We will review vocabulary and practice identifying what people are wearing

Review

New (letters/sounds/vocabulary)

This week we will continue

playing games that require
students to use their knowledge of
phonics to sound out various
simple words. We will incorporate
reading, writing and spelling into
various activities such as fill in
the blank board games, team
1/team 2 relays, and play dough
spelling competitions.

No new letters, sounds or vocabulary will be introduced this week.

Writing Practice

Sight Words

We will continue to use our

practice writing books to help
students with neatness and control
in their writing.
