Dear Friends,
I am writing to share some bittersweet news. I have decided to leave my position at NIF in June
in order to become the new head of school at Beit Rabban Day School on the Upper West
Side. Beit Rabban is a magical place that helps grow big-hearted and critical-thinking kids
(including my own), and it is about to embark on a major expansion campaign that involves the
building of a middle school. I have been recruited and inspired to lead that process.
Nonetheless, my heart and soul are wrapped up in the work of NIF. I believe we are living
during one of the most critical times in Jewish history, and we are privileged to help shape the
future of Israel. Despite the difficult circumstances on the ground, my time at NIF has
deepened my confidence in the Israeli change agents we support. The more I have seen of our
work firsthand, the more hopeful and inspired I have felt.
I will continue in my position at NIF through the end of May, and I plan to remain actively
involved as a lay person thereafter. We will keep you updated as we begin the hiring process
for a new regional director. In the meantime, please feel free to be in touch with me or any of
the wonderful people on the NY/Tri-State team (see below). We are all so grateful for your
investment and involvement, and we are committed to making this transition as easy as
possible for our NIF community.
With appreciation,
Stephanie
