Come and develop the skills necessary to use movement as a tool to teach curriculum. Teachers
will explore movement lesson plans, study guides, video and curriculum based material which help
to develop the multiple intelligences, verbal, musical, logical, visual, kinesthetic, intrapersonal, and
interpersonal. Support materials focuses on language arts, social studies, science, math, visual
arts, and healthy lifestyles. Through the creative process, teachers will study the elements of dance
and learn how to incorporate them into their teaching.
Come in clothes that allow free movement. Women should wear trousers. Everyone should wear a
kind of running shoe or may dance in bare feet. Movements will be gentle and can be done within
your own level of comfort.
REPERTORY DANCE THEATRE is the nations oldest and
most successful repertory dance company. RDT is dedicated
to the creation, perpetuation, and appreciation of American
Dance. Residency activities have been developed to
encourage teachers and students to integrate movement into
the learning and teaching process in order to help them
achieve the national standards for arts education.
