How important were interest groups in the passage of NAFTA in the United States?

Background Information
NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement) has become a wellknown FTA (Free-Trade-Agreement) between United States, Mexico
and Canada. Which was signed in 1992/8/12 and came into effect in
1994/1/1. The success of the NAFTA in the United States has been
through the congress, interest group and bureaucracy. Most of the
scholars believe that NAFTA is good for both US and Mexico
economies.1
Thesis
Interest groups pressure the US government to push forward the
benefit for their own industries goods. Overall those individuals
company goods become the part of the economy growth for the US
economy.
