To Whom It May Concern

It is with great pleasure that I write to recommend Ms. Chenise Deloach as a counselor. I have known Ms.
Deloach for over two years. In that time, I have functioned as Ms. Deloachs Program Director in the
Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at South University Richmond and have instructed her in
several didactic and experiential courses. Consistently, Ms. Deloach demonstrated her intelligence and
her dedication to her professional development; I believe she will be an asset to the field.
Ms. Deloach is a passionate and goal-driven student. In my purview, I witnessed Ms. Deloachs ability to
balance academic demands (i.e., tests, presentations, papers) with the demands of her personal life and
full-time employment. Ms. Deloach demonstrated conscientiousness and a strong drive to complete her
coursework so that she can be of assistance in the field. She was dependable with her course assignments
and performed well on tests and projects. In the group setting, Ms. Deloach often took on a leadership
role, was generous with her feedback, and genuine in her self-presentation.
Ms. Deloach is a strong student. She is dedicated, responsible, and thorough. I have no doubt that she will
add, richly, to the profession. I can be reached by telephone at 804.727.6847 and by email at
mlwelch@southuniversity.edu if you have any further questions regarding Ms. Deloach. I strongly
recommend her and believe that she will be an asset to the field of counseling.
Sincerely,

Metoka L. Welch, PhD, NCC
