Quadrant Ball- Lead up activity to speedball and practicing throwing and


catching.

Indoor Boccer- This activity is designed to give students a variation on


indoor soccer. It combines aspects of indoor soccer and basketball and
allows learners that are not well practiced in either sport to be successful.
Students should have minimal knowledge of the rules of soccer and
basketball. They should also know the concepts of catching (trapping),
passing and shooting both a soccer ball and a basketball.

Field

Ultimate Football- The purpose of the activity is to have the students


work on football throwing and catching skills while participating in a game
situation. Students should have prior knowledge and practice of throwing
and catching a football.

World Cup Soccer Tournament- The purpose of this activity is to engage


the students in a fun, competitive activity, while learning about other
cultures and their soccer traditions. Several classes should have been
spent on soccer fundamentals (dribbling, passing, and shooting skills.)

Pool

Amazon Crossing- The purpose of this activity is for students to practice


and use cooperation, communication and problem solving skills. Students
need to be comfortable in waist deep water and should be able to
demonstrate basic swimming strokes to safely travel the length of the
pool.

Swimming Survivor Challenge I- The purpose of this activity is for


students to review and/or learn basic Red Cross swimming skills. Students
should have a basic understanding of swimming stroke mechanics and
basic skills. This first Survival Challenge provides students an opportunity
to review and practice basic swimming strokes.
