Abolitionist Paper Rubric

Below are the required elements for your research paper.


The following questions must be answered about your person:
o What was your persons early life like?
o Why did they choose to become and abolitionist?
o How did they become an abolitionist? (This one may be combined with
the one above)
o How did they fight slavery?
What actions did they take?
What were the results of those actions?
Were they successful? Explain?
o What was their overall impact upon the abolitionist community?
o Why did you choose this person and what did you learn be researching
him/her?
Your paper needs to be a total of at least 6 full paragraphs.:
o One introductory paragraph
o Four body paragraphs
o One concluding paragraph
o Final draft must be typed, double spaced in a 12-point font.
Be sure you fully answer all of these questions while doing your research so
they can be a part of your paper.
