FNES 203 Thursday Spring 2015- Solo Project Time Schedule


Appetizer
Mozzarella Cheese Quesadilla
Main Course
Quinoa Stuffed Red Bell Peppers with Black Beans
Dessert
Frozen Banana Slices Drizzled with Chocolate
Serving Time (Magic Moment): 2pm
12:30 Read Recipes. Check directions carefully.
Wash Hands. Put on lab coat.
12:35 Put black beans, quinoa and 1 cup of water into a pan. Cover and bring to a boil.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
12:40 Cut the vegetables into small pieces
12:45 Cook the vegetables for the quinoa in another saucepan. (onion, celery and
garlic)
12:50 Wash and cut the red bell peppers in half.
12:55 Add the cooked vegetables to the quinoa.
1:00 Stuff the red bell peppers with the quinoa mixture.
1:05 Place the bell peppers in a baking dish, cover with foil and bake for 50 minutes.
1:10 Slice bananas and put banana in the freezer
1:20 Set up the table with the centerpiece, plates, utensils, napkins, etc. And put water
in a jug and place on table.
1:30 Melt the chocolate in the microwave.
1:35 Heat up the non-stick pan and place the tortilla on to the pan and toast, flip, add
cheese and fold. Heat until lightly brown.
1:45 Do the same for the other tortilla.
1:50 Take out the bananas and drizzle with chocolate.
1:56 Put the bananas back in the freezer and take out when ready to serve.
1:55 Take out the bell peppers out of the oven and place on plates and serve.
1:58 Cut the quesadillas and serve.
2:00 Magic Moment. Bring the serving platters to the table. Serve.
