With respect to the position of Office assistant, posted on UNM jobs last Friday, I
feel that I would be a suitable candidate for the post, Hence I would like to apply for the
same.
My name is Anil Sharma Kandel and I am a senior student at UNM working for
my Chemical Engineering degree. Basically, I was interested in this position because
the kind of work that I have to do as a office assistant here resembles with my previous
work and experience. I have already worked as a student technician in UNM over a year
which is almost the same as office assistant in many ways. Like office assistant we had
to perform duties like filing, customer service and managing calls which includes
receiving calls from the guardians of the decreased person and forwarding calls to
different people like doctors and staff by understanding the nature of their queries.
Beside all those work experience, I have also completed the essential course
work like Complex calculations, Basic Accountings, Fundamental and moral course work
like Psychology, World religion, Spanish and so on which I think would be helpful for me
to perform better in this work. I can use the knowledge that I got from those classes and
apply it to my work to produce a better result which would ultimately benefit the whole
company. My knowledge on Graphic designing and Web designing will also be an aid to
the company to perform certain projects in office (like making flyers, making the
company logo, adding emotion to pictures and other different kind of designing stuff) in
case of emergency.
If you think that the knowledge and experience I possess would be enough for
working as the position of assistant in a smooth way and if my extra knowledge and
